Stock bull, Yaacov, and the rest of the thread,

I understand and agree with Yaacov to a certain degree. However we must all be responsible for our own DD when buying any stock. I have been long Dell a couple of time and made money both times. Maybe I'm lucky? I don't know. I think I saw the writing on the wall early this year after a couple of misses (earnings). SI is a place to get info early in many cases. It is not always correct or accurate, Emulux (sp) comes to mind real quick.

For all the lurkers out there, You may have read or seen exchanges that I have had with both Kemble and OldTrader (aka. WBM) in the past. Both have had the utmost respect for MD and Dell in general. Oldtrader mentioned more than once that buying any more than one stock (Dell) was tantamount to treason, and you were tossing money away in doing so. Well I'm back to call bull shit on both of them. I currently don't hold a position long or short in Dell, so I have nothing to gain here either way.
Yaacov, I'm with you in spirit in other stocks, where the CEO or other high ranking officers have spread the BS to thick. Am I going to start a law suit? No. I screwed up, not selling soon enough. Profits missed/lost! Shit happens. Will I buy Dell again? Most likely when it gets a little cheaper.

I am impressed that OldTrader is hanging in there and I agree with many of his new found comments re: MD/options/and stock sales

Where is the Guru Kemble? Coaching and teaching can't be that busy!

Hey HDL Will you ever find the right side to be on. Should have held that long time short.

Stock bull, I think you and I maybe saying the same thing. We should watch out for what we print and there is good and bad internet; I fully agree. Now there is one factor that you may have ignored. Your wrote:

""My question is...why would anyone invest their life savings in any one stock??? Don't they understand the need for asset allocation? I could go on and on with respect to this topic, however, I think you get my point.""

Thank God, we were not all created equaly!!
There are clever investors and there are less clever investors, as there are the strong and there are weak. The wise and strong can't just say why there are the weak ones? We have to act with social responsibility toward the others who maybe weaker or less smart, and heed our words. SI, indeed, has provided us all with such a wonderful opportunity, to exchange information, but we should take care how to use it.

Kind regards,

Shalom

Yaacov
