Sylvester,

Open your PC and count how many parts come from the US and how many from foreign source. A PC is not just CPU & memory.

Do you know what a chipset is? Both Carl and myself said "a cpu, chipset, and memory", and both of your responses left out the chipset.

The fact that your particular motherboard has foreign components does not change the fact that the majority of CPUs and chipsets are made by Intel, and that Micron is one of the largest suppliers of DRAM.

Government contracts require that American made components be used if they are available. Is that hard to understand?

Military contracts also require that the CPU is fully qualified, which obviously will not be the case for P4 for quite some time to come.

You have no idea what you are talking about, as usual.
