gdr, arba's valuation is $27 billion. at what point do you see their annual earnings (not revenues as i understand they only have $200 mil in revs since 1996!) at $1.5 billion. that is what it would take this company to return at the rate of a guaranteed t-bill.

i have been in high tech electronics manufacturing (the real kind) just shy of 7 years. i can tell you that automating these types of business processes:

1. makes sense.
2. IS NOT rocket science.
3. isn't a panacea.

a group of programmers could hire a purchasing manager as a consultant and develop a pretty darn good program. any good group of programmers in the world. competition will be fierce, ESPECIALLY due to the hype.

initial hype was a strong reason why i knew most net companies wouldn't survive. supply and demand, folks. 83% margins? they'll fall. guaranteed. extrapolating 83% margins into the future is as absurd as both our presidential candidates extrapolating the biggest bull market in history for the next 20 years.

gdr, take a moment and ponder this question.

what is the probability and arba NEVER earns $1.5 billion in profits per year? answer honestly. what is the probability that arba doesn't earn $1.5 billion in a year over the next 10 years.

is 10 years a long time to wait for a t-bill return? how many billions would owners of arba forsake before it ever equaled a tbill return? $10 billion? $20 billion? 30 billion? more?
