I was thinking since on the TV ad for Windows on Wall St....

Many of the broker and software providers are ridiculous in their commercials.

MyTrack commercial, "trader" says he gets in "ahead of the market" with MyTrack software.

Hmmm...ahead of the market to me is :

1. Institutions are accumulating or distributing "x" stock. Then public realizes activity or news released creating euphoria of either side. Institutions exit position to the public.

2. Trader sees early stages of this accumulation/distribution and responds accordingly ready to unload position when public realizes.

MyTrack commercial speaks of stock "going crazy" with trades of blocks flying across the tape. This is usually sign of public catching on to event. Since public is usually last to know, to me, this is not getting in "ahead of the market". Maybe he gets reasonable price for trade opportunity he sees, but I don't believe this scenerio to relay a "in ahead of the market" ability provided by MyTrack itself. Therefore, false image of what a broker can really provide.

Just my thoughts on "some" of the commercials out there for software.

All the best,

Chris
