What is wrong with SGI and why they could fail.
Well Don I've spent the last several posts talking about what I believe is right with SGI. What may be wrong.

I believe that sgi has the products and the science to be successful.
What don't they have right is the question?
Sgi still adds a lot of fancy artistic metal and plastic to the cases of their products. I personally find it distasteful. The question is does this add detract or is it neutral in general in the new areas where SGI has to expand. One thing for sure is adds extra cost and that comes out of margin. In the servers arena I don't feel the extra iron/plastic is a positive. (Yes but I'm a dull needy n-gin_ear) I hope it is at least neutral.

In the past from conversation with SGI middle sales reps I've gotten the impression that SGI has a problem in manufacturing products sold in a timely manner. This can be a real downer to customer satisfaction.
So the question is has SGI gotten it's act together in the sales and manufacturing areas. The timely delivery of product is the most critical item. Assuming that product is selling.

In past others on this board have weighed in with their experience. I'd love to hear from you in any way you choose.
