Of course AMD has a HIGHER EPS - they have so fewer shares than Intel - is that a badge of honor?

Intel has had 16 stock splits in its history - AMD only 2.

That is a testemonial to AMD's chronically poor performance over its 30 year history.

By the way - if you look at a long term chart - you'll notice that AMD has now fallen to its 1984 level - so they have the same stock price as 16 years ago !!!
