>"For most dot-coms it's impossible to raise more money," said Roger McNamee at Integral Capital Partners, a Seattle venture capital firm.
>"The public market has dried up and that has backed up into the whole venture-capital stream," says McNamee, of Integral Capital. "Deals that didn't get public are soaking up huge amounts of capital, which is forcing venture firms that were hoping to do 30 deals per fund to do 20 instead."

This is SI, not the Harvard Law Review or something.

Thank God it's not the Harvard Law Review - if it was, I could only imagine the hyping would be magnified several fold.

Glenn's not a CFA, and he has a life. Would you like to write a comprehensive post?

William - thanks for your contribution to the Ariba discussion. Please feel free to chime in whenever you feel a company has superior management, an impressive business model, no competition and expected earnings that are sure to surpass expectations.

Thanks,
-Eric
