Which democratic aspirations?? Keep in mind that one of Democracy's key tenets is respect for minorities. As regards Kosovo, Albanians have actually made up 90% of its population for the past 30 years and yet they've been brutalized by Belgrade's colonialist regime...

The plight of Serbia will eventually be alleviated by its European allies (France, Italy, Greece) but who will care for Albanians and Muslim Bosnians? If Europe doesn't consider Muslim worshipers as genuine fellow Europeans, so be it --after all, even secularized Turkey didn't fit the Eurobill. However, considering the rise of neofascist leanings --and their anti-Muslim corollary-- throughout Europe, the US showdown in the Balkans is a soothing prospect indeed....
