Scumbria,
Intel and AMD are developing DDR chipsets for all of their processors

Oh really?? The only thing that Intel is quoted as saying for DDR in desktops is DDR is "too little too late". I'd like to see where Intel says that they are working on DDR chipsets for their desktop processors. Jack "the FUD" has never quoted a single Intel named source of saying such a thing. The only thing that Intel has said is that in late 2001 they will come out with a P4 SDRAM chipset. Not DDR. Just SDRAM. If anyone has a quote from a named Intel person saying otherwise, post it. Till then, DDR is dead dead dead.

Scumbria:
particular type of DRAM which is not made in the US

I think Toshiba America Electronic Components makes RDRAM wafers in San Jose CA and Kingston Technology of Fountain Valley CA does RIMM assembly. It is only your attitude that is un American.

You are starting to cross the line between being contrary and just out and out 100% misleading.
