I disagree with that article but you get all kinds during an election. The decision to start paying off the national debt instead of giving tax cuts was the biggest single contributor to the 8 year boom we've experienced. Also I believe that the Texas oil "mafia" who run Bush want very much for the oil prices to be high. It may even have been orchestrated before the election to try and bring down the economy. One thing is for sure, a massive tax break will create inflation and raise interest rates. Therefore if anyone thinks he's really getting anything he's wrong. At best it's a wash. Steady as she goes, I say. Don't try to fix something that's not broken.

Seven years ago Dick Armey stood up in congress and declared that if Clinton's economic proposals go forward it will destroy the American economy and he for one wants to go on record as not being responsible. Look what happened instead. And partly because of the internet which Gore certainly helped bring into existence when no one else in washington had a clue.
