Frank--Thanks for describing your background and hope you find all you wish to find in your retirement. The fact that your son has taken over the family business is a true testiment to The American Dream. Congratulations!

But I wonder if your son taking over your business creates for you an interesting parallel with George W. Bush wanting his dad's former job. Perhaps maybe this gives you a little extra boost to root for the W.

But I dare say that although your son may well be ready and is doing fine running your business, I don't believe George W is as ready or prepared for the presidency as is Al Gore. And remember, Al's experience and influences about and from government date back to the distinguished Senate career of his father, the late Senator Albert Gore.

The fact is Gore is better fit for the presidency. Maybe George W will mature down the road. But he's not there as yet. I think it's plain and clear.

And writing of fathers and sons, what do you think about Ronald Reagan Jr's comments about George W?
