Bush is not a good speaker, no doubt. Smarts and public speaking are not the same thing. I don't say Bush is smart. I just say Gore is no brain surgeon, and Bush is fine in comparison. To paraphrase Bentsen "I know brain surgeons, and Gore is no brain surgeon." Cheney has the most presence of the four, by far, and the best intellect and command of issues. He won both debates.
