I'm just getting sick of Gore propagandists coming out here and not stating the facts correctly. If they want to debate the issues and the facts, great. But they simply can't hide from the exaggerations of their candidate and bringing them up is fair game as it reflects the truest character of the person. Listen, I was a McCain man.... I can guarantee you if McCain had been debating Gore last Tuesday, that debate wouldn't have been boring... <VBG> He understand Gore better than most other politicians because he has served in the Senate with him... But if there were only one reason that I wouldn't vote for Gore even were he a conservative Republican, is simply that he "bartered" his vote on authorizing hostilities against Iraq for a measly 20 minutes worth of face time in front of a camera. That's how seriously he takes his responsibilities... He's rather play politics than do what is right... And in that manner, he's very much a clone of the current commander in thief... err... chief.. I'm not trying to be over reaching with this stock market thing, but the more I think about it, the more it may explain why so much money has remained on the sidelines. There could be some genuine fear on wall street over the possibility of a Gore administration... I hope that I'm wrong, but the chart shows that the market began it rise once the congress was captured by the Republicans. And going back to comparing the market of the late '70s to where it was after 8 years of Reagan/Bush, I think the fact speak for themselves. But that is rather simplistic, I readily admit.
