I think we can kiss off tomorrow with the Israeli ultimatum.

Glenn, I was just expressing my strong opinion that things will be sorted out on the upside,
based partly on lots of positive little things that people sometimes choose to ignore. I think
there are a lot of forces in our society always ready to emphasize negative aspects of any
positive news, and I occasionally try to oppose them.

Tom,

I agree. The sentiment now is negative and that is all we hear. The two problems both having a negative spin cannot occur so either the economy is too strong and we have good earnings based on that or the economy is weak and earnings are terrible. It is almost impossible to have a good economy and lousy earnings on all fronts which is how the media and many people on SI are talking. I agree there must be a positive in there somewhere. My guess is the economy has slowed but is far from weak. Earnings will be decent. The market is oversold.

I'm not saying that you are one of these negative folks at all. I think I responded to you
because you were the top post at the time. So, there is nothing personal about any of this.
I'm just spouting off, and could be wrong. But, I feel confident about the next 3 months,
anyway.

I did not take it personally.

The best to you too.

Glenn
