Hi Tony, Just a short term snapshot of the front month option dollars.
It's just a picture of the short term (option) positions on the table ...that must be offset or exercised as we move closer to options expiration. To me it's the essence and driver of short term movements in the market when the dollar imbalances go to extreme. My assumption is a stock moves not based on supply and demand but in order to maximize the gains of the houses over a shorter and longer term basis. It's not based on supply and demand. If a brokerage house can do 150-500 million in option dollars in the last couple weeks before expiration. who really cares what the company financials are or what the company is really doing on a fundamental basis. It's just a vehicle to (as KeepItSimple) says....'Maximize Shareholder Ignorance.'
