Obviously you've never experienced the wilderness of Alaska. I have. I spent four months in the Prince William Sound before the Exxon Valdez spill. Now it is a ghostly shell of itself. Accidents happen. Don't give me this "footprint" BS. That's oil company propaganda. "Foorptrint" my ass. They want to lay 500 miles of pipe across the caribou migration path which has been going on for 1,000,000 years. Hundreds of trucks, bulldozers, dynamite, helicopters, landing strips, fuel spills. Don't be naive. Why do you think Texas is so filthy? Oil. Oil is a dirty form of energy. We can drive slower and buy smaller engines. We have to. Even the Alaska oil won't lower prices more than a few cents. And will take about 5 years to even get any oil out. And you know where it goes? Japan. That's wherre all the Alaskan oil goes now.
