Just started reading "When Bad Things Happen to Other People," an examination of Schadenfreude. Quite well written, and thought provoking. But I think Rambi could have done a better job of making it fun. I have been thinking for a while that I would like to write a chronicle of the current stock market mania, and have decided that Schadenfreude is the right tone to take, assuming we ever really have a crash. There is something like divine retribution in a really good stock market crash. When 23 year olds become multi-millionaires and cash out and leave greedy, gullible housemaids holding the bag, a morality play is called for.
