Gore's exaggerations - meet GWB's bloopers and blunders this week. Yes it was time for Al to get tough again. No more Mister Nice Guy the last four weeks of the campaign. Now finally, you will get the response to attacks on Gore including looking into that good ole Texas record. Where felons hold concealed gun permits, people can't breathe in Houston, Bush's work habits etc. etc. This is just politics as usual but as a Gore supporter I'm glad he's finally fighting back. I particularly like the Dan Quayle comparison. Quayle is in fact very similar to GW in many ways. Cheney is also a prime target with his far right-wing voting record, huge cash windfall after leaving office and 1% charity donations. Should be an interesting four weeks. Gore lost some support last week because he went "positive". Voters like a brawl and they're going to get it now. Oh boy. The Gore campaign has a lot of ammunition it hasn't used. GW has used his all up (including a RATS ad which was really stretching). When they get into GW's character problems, past alcoholism, coke use, military service avoidance etc. his image will certainly change. We'll see how much teflon he's got on him now. Ready to rumble!
