chic:

"There's gonna be a 5 billion share day on the Naz where lock limits are hit. I don't think there's enough fear ***yet***, but we are entering danger areas."

Comment: When locks hit on the upside or downside???

Looks like "fear" is factored in fully and more to me...Panic buying sometimes follows this kind of irrational sell-off...Just have to see what materializes later in the day, or it may take 'til tomorrow as much $CDN are on the sideline today as it is our Thanksgiving holiday Monday...:-)...

Chic, Re: I'm still holding my AMD poots. I'm up to a 100% gain now, but can't see any reason to sell them back.

I sold my calls today some hours before the opening here in Germany when they were nearly 50%(!) up from last day's close (probably due to the Dell rumor, this could also explain the gap up in AMD's stock price today). I'm very skeptical now that we will see an pre-earnings rally this late in the game ... but I used to be a very good contrarian indicator. ;-) Looking on the intraday charts of NASDAQ and SOX however suggests that we hit a (short-term) bottom this morning. But IMO we will still retest the old lows later.

Chic, AMD refuse to buckle, time to think about selling your poots.

Chic,

Tech stocks always come roaring back the third week in October, after months of doom and gloom.
