Let me repeat with you. GOP has been lying on this issue. If I give them the benefit of doubt, they are exaggerating. How different are they from Al Gore? Their intention comes accross as more malicious in this case.

Regarding the Internet thing and Gore, do a search on www.dogpile.com and compare the quality content to the distortive content. When you read the quality writing on the issue, you'll discover that Gore, indeed, played a role in getting the funding necessary for the Internet to expand. Any techie who was around in the early days and working on the Internet credits Gore for his contribution. Problem is that these GOPwingers will take a hair on the rump and turn it into a hemorroid, over and over and over again. Some of 'em are really vile. And I must point out, that those Republicans who point/counterpoint with reason and reference do hold my respect.
