At the present rate of stock drop (30 percent per quarter), Microsoft will be worth -120 percent of the all time high by next year.

There is a silver lining in all of this, and Ballmer commented on it about 9 months ago. There is now less of a temptation to give up a career at MS and jump ship to "join the exciting software development environment" at new promising startups like Priceline.com
