Internet Hotels ... I might be tempted to add PSIX to the list. Although not a pure Internet Hotel play, at their current price the Internet Hotel part of their business is certainly worth a look-see (IMO) ...

Rande - here's a fairly comprehensive list of the Application Service Provider(ASP)/Web Hosting/Server Farm companies. I've developed this list on another site and just now realized how easily it could be transferred to SI and therefore quickly linked to Home.

Note Q and T are included as they offer Web Hosting services and give a bit of big boy balance to the generally more pure-play ASP/Host list.

The linked list does not include the following:
FFIV - products to monitor and optimize server farm performance - not an ASP/Host itself. My system includes FFIV on networking equipment makers.

GBLX - has fiber backbone leased to ASP/Hosts - don't think this is an ASP/Host - not sure though. GBLX is included on another watchlist describing the Fiber Backbone companies such as FTHL WCG COLT VYTL etc.

LVLT - I left it out due to conglomerate ownership in coal mining, toll roads and Penn phone utility. Don't know this one at all - just read the Yahoo profile and would not consider it an ASP/Host/Farm.

RE: list of Internet "hotels"

Here's a couple more to add to the list:

COLO.com - IPO filed and still pending (proposed symbol COLC):

Subject 36762

Rackspace.com - IPO filed and coming up soon (proposed symbol RACK):

Subject 36973

City-Reach (privately held UK company operating in Europe)

city-reach.com

PAIX.net (owned and operated by MFNX):

paix.net

Relera (privately held):

relera.com

My bet among this new bunch is EQIX, which I am long. Their tech management were the founders of the original Palo Alto Internet Exchange (now MFNX's PAIX.net). Impressive investor and customer lists, first mover credentials in "disagregated hosting solutions", and premium offering. And best of all absolutely no one has heard of it yet. ;)
