johnd--They talk confidently. That doesn't mean they are confident. Only a fool would think it is a foregone conclusion that MSFT will win on appeal. They could win, but it isn't a foregone conclusion. They'll probably lose significant parts of the case IMO. Bill and Steve talk tough to keep the employees from deserting and to stall for time while figuring out how to change their entire business model.
