"Naz 3000 may not even bring fear as long as there's a ***belief*** that stocks will go back up"

You mean that stocks WON'T GO BACK UP? NEVER EVER EVER??

Holy ****, I surely am a clown for believing that someday stocks will go up again!

ROFLMAO!!! Someone needs to start a thread called "Clowns Who Think Other People Are Clowns"

I haven't seen much discussion here of the possibility that this anticipated Sept/Oct. weakness may be setting us up for a strong 4th quarter as per historical patterns, particularly during an election year.

As a repenting clown (of the second degree by your definition!) I'd like to get on the right side of this market, but I'm afraid my decision to short might mark the "capitulation" of the so-called clowns that defines a pivot point<g>. I think (hope) the time to get long is now when things are bleak- unless the economy collapses or equities become worthless, these historical patterns should hold up. At least it seems that odds favor it.

If you don't mind my asking, which stocks would you be looking at now, short or long?

Thanks,
Kate
