Depends on the definition of "long term." How long is "long" to mutual fund managers?

And, how long is "long" to momentum traders? All the 'momemtum' money that went into stocks with all that y2k M2 is not very long term. That money drove the market up at the end of last year and on into the Spring; and now the naz is below those levels. I have to conclude those people want to tax-loss sell. Will the tax-loss selling be as implosive as the buying frenzy was explosive?
