The big tragedy is that Mitterand, the departed French President, decided in cold heart to to move a finger, telling his aides :" no one would notice with "these people" or something to that effect. Saint Exupery (sp"), son of the author of the famous children book, "The Prince", tried its best to let the story out. A cyberfriend brought this to my attention some two-three years ago on these threads (the Asia thread).

As for the Bu$$, not to worry, first I already have a little cushion from one trade (70-15/16 to $72-3/4 reported earlier today at "Steve"), and frankly, on the bu$$ I now have a cushion to almost nil (g). So, if it breaches $69, I'll be out and with a GTC at $62-7/8, for at least another DCB, DCB with the bus are like clockwork. Medium term, the bullish pattern has been broken and frankly, I think that the low $60' are pretty well in the cards now. Could be even worse if $62.25 is breached.

OT....

I read a story by this author in a recent New Yorker about the current situation in the Congo. By the end I was stunned...literally numbed, at the reality of the lives of those people compared to my own. In 1987 I spent 3 months in Africa (one in the Central African Republic on the then northern border of Zaire). My experience there gave me enough insight to know that what Gourevitch writes is no exaggeration. Those people might as well live in another time or on another planet.
If you feel you're getting a little too worked up about the Market...look into these folks' lives for a potent dose of perspective.
