Ted,

What I meant was that I company will often announce a solution before they announce a problem. If Intel were to say tomorrow that P4 will be delayed until the second quarter of 2001, they could also say that they have already made management changes to correct what caused the problem, so that it won't happen again. PR to soften the blow.

I don't think that is the case, but I've seen it happen before with other companies.

John

Ted, I think he means that management knows about the problem so they are changeing personel around to solve it, but that the problem is not public knowlege yet, so soon the news comes out...

AMD has positioned itself very well in the upper
end of the server market where all the action in computers is; it could have caused some of the slowdown with INTC -
we won’t know for a little while

Buy AMD, it's attractively priced; 3q will be very
strong, which is in direct contrast with INTC's
forecasted 3q

Mellum prefers AMD to INTC; he sold off his
holding in INTC - AMD should report a big quarter
on Wednesday
