BroadVision Up -3: Dain Rauscher Reiterates Strong Buy

Dain Rauscher Wessels released a Monday research note, reiterating a strong
buy rating for BroadVision as well as for competitor Vignette Corp. (VIGN).
In the note, Dain Rauscher analyst Stephen Sigmond wrote that while "fear,
uncertainty, and doubt are reigning supreme on Wall Street" due to the
recent implosion in e-platform stocks, this pessimism is not justified by
the sector's current fundamentals.
The sector remains strong and companies are still buying Internet
infrastructure software, Sigmond told Dow Jones Newswires, but businesses
are just "getting wiser" about which vendors have the stronger solutions.
Moors & Cabot Technology analyst Roy Lobo said the reiterations may have
contributed to the rise Monday in shares of BroadVision and Vignette, but
said the companies' strength strength in their industry isn't "shocking
news."
Shares of Vignette Corp. closed Monday hands at $26.13, up $7.44, or 39.8%,
on volume of 7.9 million shares. Average daily volume is 5.1 million shares.
