A stock being “extremely oversold technically” doesn’t mean it is the absolute best time to buy. Picking a bottom is always as much luck as knowledge. On the one hand, you should wait for the sector or broad markets to turn up and solidly reverse the trend before buying. On the other hand, huge moves in tech stocks often take place in just a few days - as much as 1/2-2/3 of the eventual rally has already taken place before many investors take action

That's right....so I am hedging my bets on the funds coming in fairly soon and scraping these stocks off their 200 DMA. SCMR was down nearly to its May low and JDSU has been laying in a bottom for several days now at $87-90. So I took the chance that I may be to early.

FYI another one I am getting ready to buy is TXCC, its been hovering at its pivot point (around $67) for over a week now, after basing for several months. Should it breakout, I think its good for 25-30 pts.

You're right if you are too slow...the good tech stocks move very fast when they make their move.
