I can see the beauty aspect to a point. But I don't see $2.00/gallon gas prices helping the working poor who the demolibs also profess to be so concerned about. That beauty also can be considered selfishness by the elite liberals who have the money to afford the higher prices. It's the same way I look at the spotted owl issue in Oregon. I say to hell with the owls when it's affecting people's livelihoods. What do you propose to do to help them besides have the government buy their gas for them?knc

>>That property has been preserved through the efforts of Democrats so everyone can share in it's beauty.<<

Yeah, but it was prettier when the American Indians "owned" it. Your approach is extremely narrow minded. It was ok for you to have your home built there, ruining the true coastline with hundreds of thousands of homes, but don't you dare put an oil rig 30 miles offshore out of sight, NO WAY. Do you heat your home?, do you use lights?, do you eat food produced by American farmers? Do you have a clue?

I think you should start a campaign to outlaw ALL manmade structures from Big Sur to Half Moon Bay, then I'd believe your sincerity.
