Sycamore and Corning team up to Accelerate Development of Optical Switching Technologies Note the MEMS focus. MRVC is obviously doing the same thing. Interesting how, across all their startups many critical technologies are being targeted and developed. I wonder if there is significant technology sharing among them all? biz.yahoo.com

Wow! Thanks. This part deserves special emphasis: "Optical Access has the most flexible solution, with the greatest range, and the highest bandwidth to boot -- up to OC-48, or 2.5 Gbps. Plus it's cheap and carriers only have to pay as they go. They don't have to spend a fortune up front just to get started. They can add buildings one at a time in a downtown metropolitan area. We think carriers are going to eat it up. " With all those features and OC-48 capability - then add the 16 channel DWDM coming, and they should be a dominent player in this market. I want my OPXS shares!
