I actually know a lot about fuel consumption. Standards have been lax for a long time because of lower oil prices. Around here all the ladies like to drive the big SUV's. The Ranger Rover is their favorite. Gets 9 MPG. The auto industry will respond now as everyone will be trying to dump their gas guzzlers. And oil exploration is ramping up due to higher prices. Tax credits for conservation. A big government program to educate people not to waste energy. We'll be okay in awhile. The gas prices are already coming down thanks to tapping the strategic reserve.
