Dan,

I put together a simple Excel spreadsheet to estimate how long it would take, at present growth rates of fossil fuel use, to use up the oxygen in the Earth's atmosphere.

A long time ago, before Excel spreadsheets, someone calculated that based on the growth rates, Paris and London would be buried under 100 feet of horse manure by now.

The last time I checked, there was no horse manure on the streets of Paris. (Dog $h*t on the sidewalks is another story.)

Joe

Hi Dan, OT RE: "at present growth rates of fossil fuel use, to use up the oxygen in the Earth's atmosphere. Depending on the growth rate used, the period varied between 150 and 450 years."

That's spooky.
