I listened to the excuses on the shortfall. Having designed several items in the past and seen them into production, the problem at SGI was that sole source items which by definition are extreme high risk items were designed in. Now in that SGI is cutting edge this is most likely required. But not getting commitments for required items to deliver product is highest level of incompetence or stupidity. It seems to me that in the beginning of the NT workstation crap out that an inability to manufacture was also cited. It's sounding like same old same old.
