We have some near us that are lovely. THEY emit toxic smoke but only on Sunday's because they know the bureaucrat charged with watching them is home watching NFL. Sometimes they have explosions that cause evacuations. But they try not to tell anyone because everyone is so nervous already. So they wait a while to see if they can contain it themselves. I lived near a refinery district in LA once. Everything was covered with black, oily soot. The soot was so fine that it wasn't until you moved a picture or rug, that you even noticed. And then you really noticed. The stains could not be washed out.
