Dan3, fair enough! But then again, by your reply post, what you are saying is you are not qualified to make the following statement from an engineering position...

Richard, I'm not an EE. I configure systems, do some project management, some programming (not much lately), and even some direct hardware work (building and testing prototype systems for deployment

So in other words, not only are you not an EE, but you are clueless and have no expertise in what is good and bad engineering in the semiconductor area. Thanks for making that clear. I suggest you stick next time on things that you do have a clue about.
