You're about as rightwing as they come, pal.
Don't try to tar me. Liberal is not dirty word but I won't vote for anyone who's too liberal. I respect Nader but he has no business complaining. He ought to go away.

Socialism is only a positive in certain areas where it saves everyone money in the long run. Like health care and the environment. And of course the military. Though watch out giving the military or law enforcement too much power. Got to balance it.

People need to make their own money. I'm a free enterprise entrepreneur all the way. And I never give money to bums or winos. Every preson ought to carry their own weight if possible. Get a job. Unless impossible like the handicapped.

I am for most moderate issues. George Sr. used to be a moderate before he changed his views during the Reagan era. I grew up with people like the Bushes so I know them well. They're actually good people but they are desperate for power so they have to cater to the southern conservatives to get elected. They actually despise the rightwing and are afraid of them. They would love to ignore then but the GOP cannot win without that christian Coalition, which is the remains of the old confederacy. I also grew up in Nashville so I know them too. My father's a moderate humanist Christian minister, retired. He marched with Martin Luther King. End racism. A good thing. He firmly believes that if you're a Christian you should be a steward for God's natural creations and share wealth with your fellow man when he needs it. I'm not so charitable. I like making momey but am willing to pay taxes so long as our government isn't letting people steal the money like during the S+L debacle. Or waste it buy spending half a trillion on Star Wars with no apparent enemies in sight.

We're still paying off that humongous S+L debt caused by Reagan's cronies. Believe me, if Bush is elected he will just be a figurehead. The real power will behind him in the shadows cutting deals over who gets what public lands and deregulating pollution and environmental laws. And financial laws too. Maybe another S+L debacle. Sometimes the government is our only defence against these profiteers. Some call it Big Government. I just call it The Law. And people ought to respect it. We have to. Or else we're the Wild West. And there's no more frontier. Sorry. It's all be taken. The precious little that's left has to be protected from those who just don't give a damn. So-called conservative have a habit of ripping off the public. Giving away public lands to cronies to rape, deregulating polluters and get-rich-schemers. Sometimes I don't know why they call themselves conservative. Sounds pretty liberal to me. Liberal with the law. Breaking the law. Without remorse too. Even GW got to break the law with his insider trading while poppy was presdident. They never charged him. Selling his stock two weeks before his oil company went belly-up, with full inside knowledge of the numbers. That to me is criminal. But he's A bush so he got away with it. Go figure.

He was NOT impeached for getting a "Hummer" Does that hummer have a straight 6 or v8 in it? <gg>

I wonder if the oil companies "policy statement" coming out this week per Townsend (exxon spokes person) will hurt or help Bush. He mentioned this last week at Philadelphia Securities Association luncheon. Haven't seen any opinion advertisements yet.
