Your humble servant cautions you against thinking that this oil rise is a temporary phenomenon.

Look at the news just out on inventories. There is a real problem with supply, and it is even worse with natural gas. If we have a normal winter, the price of oil and gas could continue to stay strong.

I urge my holiness to hedge his position in HAL with either ESV or RDC.

Or you could take a look at one of TRIIBoy's favorite plays: LSS (owned mostly by the Bass Brothers). oil and gas tubing play but has power generation component.

COMMISSION DENIES MOTION OF HERBERT M. CAMPBELL II TO LIFT TEMPORARY
SUSPENSION PURSUANT TO RULE 102(e) AND DIRECTS HEARINGS
On August 10, Herbert M. Campbell II, an attorney who was formerly
senior vice president and general counsel of Solv-Ex Corporation, was
temporarily suspended from appearing or practicing before the Commission
pursuant to Rule 102(e)(3) of the Commission's Rules of Practice. The
suspension was based on a permanent injunction, entered against Campbell
on May 16, 2000 by the U. S. District Court for the District of New
Mexico in an action brought by the Commission, enjoining him from
violating Section 17(a) of the Securities Act of 1933, Section 10(b) of
the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and Rule 10b-5 thereunder, and
Section 13(a) of the Exchange Act. Campbell timely filed a petition to
lift the suspension. On October 6, 2000, the Commission denied his
petition and set the matter for hearings before an administrative law
judge. (Rel. 34-43422; File No. 3-10268) sec.gov
