rrman, Never mind pissed.. Tryed to shave off half of my thumb this summer with a hand electric planer. Yeow. Power tools usually mean you just make bigger mistakes faster for the average job around the house. Sorry to hear about your thumb! Once you know how to keep the hand powered version sharp, you will do a better job usually faster. Same for most wood tools IMO. You have to know how to use them of course. It's not that difficult to learn though. pearly.
