Interesting comment about P4 (thanks to nixtox on the AMD thread.)

the most inexplainable design failure of the Pentium 4 is not even chipset/memory related. This brand new architecture has a considerably weaker FPU than its predecessor, the Pentium III/Celeron. This "glitch" might be the ultimate downfall of this CPU in a time when the increased clock frequencies are needed mostly for complex calculations like in 3D modeling and 3D games.
