I signed on this morning and saw almost 150 new posts on the Intel board, and figured that they must be about management structure and putting Yu out to pasture.

I'm hoping that the bicycle that I ride to work compensates for the Landcruiser that my wife drives to work.

A couple of quick thoughts, and then I'll let this whole energy discussion go its own way. More drilling means nothing if there is no concomitant investment in infrastructure. I don't care how much crude is released from the SPR, that will not cure the heating oil supply problem. Building a new refinery would help. Alas, that's a longer term solution, and November 7 is less than a month away.

And when your utility bill spikes, put part of the blame on Cisco. They vetoed a natural gas fired utility plant that was in a highly efficient location. Once again, as long as we ignore the infrastructure problem, our energy problem will be far from solved.

Reading all these posts, it appears that Silicon Valley has turned into a hell hole. I was kind of looking forward to coming out there in a couple of weeks, but now I'm guessing that I'll want to leave as soon as possible.
