Just an aside, along with the seizure of all private weapons the control of all major media outlets are important first steps in creating a totalitarian state. Despite the liberal mainstream media, we have a ways to go before we see totalitarianism in this country. Not that it couldn't happen... Just my opinion, G Howe

By now, we've seen many examples where LITIGATION destroyed people, industries, and even political movements just as effectively as legislation, and with an activist anti-2nd amendment Supreme Court, combined with an anti-2nd amendment president, I think it could be effectively accomplished without Congress' say and without suspending the "constitutional government." They might have to pay a small pittance to gun owners to ostensibly satisfy the just compensation requirement, but it's not a roadblock. The litigation part of their plan is already underway.
