Steve, well, no doubt I still see the PC as a vital base platform. [deep inhale, exhale] I believe my original post was in reponse to someone else's comments regarding Microsoft OS and PC unit growth for the future. Message 14513232 My point was that the urge to upgrade to a new PC each year or two is now considerably less as microprocessor speed has started to top out (without any appreciable incremental improvement to the average user) and most bays have become standard.
