With the Nasdaq meltdown at white heat and Nasdaq futures down an additional 70 as I write this morning, it is unfortunate that Knight-Ridder today saw fit to republish the San Jose Mercury story of 10/8. Nevertheless, this just might be the day to make a few phone calls, as CNBC pundits were saying early this morning.
