I know you're a Republican; I'm not trying to dis you. It's not a bad conclusion. Look, I took a great amount of time to study this several years ago. Global gasses are significant in warming the earth and keeping it warm. I'll say it again; water vapor is the largest by far of ALL gases in terms of impact. All of the papers are written today on gases that MIGHT have an impact on global temperatures and ignore water vapor because they know that man cannot affect that but to ignore it and use it to hype someone's agenda I believe should be exposed as junk science. Here are the percentages as best that I can remember them that these gases have an impact (I can no longer find the reference to this but it was a study that I read)

Water Vapor = 97%
Methane = 1.8%
CO2 = 1%
Others = 0.2

It's not exact but it was something like that. CO2 has several sources such as volcanic activity, forest fire, glacial ice, polar ice, animal respiration, automobile emissions etc. Man is just a part of the entire picture.

I posted a site yesterday on ocean levels that was very thorough in study but basically concludes nothing on ocean levels, yet we see junk science conclude that the ocean is raising 6mm/century or something like that.

What's the bottom line? My conclusion is that our use of the automobile has no impact to the warming trend (even that is disputed). Any trend that is happening is natural and unstoppable. This hype will go the way of:

-Baby's listening to Mozart increases intelligence
-2nd hand smoke causes cancer
-Drinking wine will increase your lifespan
-El Nino (over 500 years old) was the result of human activity (global warming)

Sincerely
Jim
