That places total victims who lost their lives because of gun control at approximately 56 million in the last century.

Mr. Harvey assumes that these victims would not have lost their lives if gun control had not been imposed, ignoring the fact that in most cases cited the victim groups were not significantly armed even before gun control was imposed. His argument is logically insupportable and not particularly convincing.
