last year in the 4th quarter the NAZ hit bottom on Oct. 19 @ 2688.18.

by Oct. 30 the index gained 278 points from the low on the 19th.

in the 4th quarter of 1998 the NAZ bottomed on Oct. 8 @ 1419.12.

by Oct. 30 the index gained 352 points for that bottom.

the NAZ was 61 points higher on Oct. 31, 1997 from the low on Oct. 27.
