Certainly taking a beating for the earnings problems of the hardware manufacturers. In the past this sector has grown when there is earnings pressures on the hardware manufacturers as it accelerates outsourcing as they try and control costs.

All of the ECMs are pretty much beaten today. JBL, SANM, SCI all down 10%. JBL was down 8.5% yesterday already.

So at least the problem doesn't seem to be specific to FLEX. In the last month, FLEX held actually up pretty well against the peers.

Maybe SCI is leading the group, maybe weak PC sales are pushing the price down. Maybe there are some concerns about the strong Dollar against the Euro weakening FLEX European sales when converted to Dollars. I don't think any of these reasons is valid.

I remember in 98 when FLEX was beaten to half in September but fully recovered in a month or so.

We have to wait for the numbers at the 24th.
