Binx,

128 megabyte MMC

If you ever have picked up an MMC
you will instantly realize this is
simply mind-boggling.

We need a strong supporter of MMC.
SanDisk will never be able to meet MMC demands
by going it alone. I also noticed...

Hitachi's 512Mbit AND-type flash memory was jointly developed with
Mitsubishi Electric Corporation. This device is fabricated in
a 0.18-micron process and takes full advantage of Multi-Level Cell technology.
The read current consumption of this device is two milliamps (mA) (typical)
in the range of 2.7 to 3.6 volts (V) for low power consumption of portable equipment.

Aren't SanDisk and Mitsubishi in a legal dispute?
(Meanwhile Hitachi and SanDisk are signing licensing agreements.)

Hopefully Mitsubishi will CAPITULATE.

Finally,

re: 512Mbit

Didn't Toshiba do the same thing with NAND and no MLC?
