Very hard shakin goin on. You really need to be committed to a stock these days if you're holding long. Holding a loss or a shrinking profit really gets me down. What gets me through it though is not having to worry about the quality of the stock.

I really don't know what is happening with GLW today but I will take a guess.
The GLW earnings are further away. Contrast that to another company expected to deliver good earnings--Juniper. They report on Thursday and the stock is up $6 on a day like today. My guess is that there is no urgency to buy GLW at this point. Traders are moving out of it--probably temporarily and it is probably attracting some short sellers as well--given the way it dropped after the split. Could be some trading on technicals.

As we get closer to earnings, i am expecting a surge.
It is tough watching it decline.
